Hamburg, 1 February, 2010 – More categories, more and higher quality submissions, new sponsors and high-calibre additions to the jury. The Crystal Cabin Award continues to grow, in terms of both size and renown. In 2010, the 20 honorary jury members will be joined for the first time by Bombardier’s Sandra Henry and Tim Clark, President of Emirates Airline, in deciding who receives the prizes for innovation in aircraft cabin products and concepts. Recaro seat presented as an art object in London
Various airlines have ordered two Crystal Cabin Award winning products from the past year. Air France, as launch customer, chose for the economy class the Recaro seat SL 3510. Qatar Airways ordered several thousand copies of the Recaro seat CL 3620. The predecessor of the latter winning the seat – the CL 3610 has recently become an object of art and is displayed as an exemplary piece of design in the exhibition "Design Real" in London.
