Crystal Cabin Award

Scoring

Scoring

For the first scoring process only digital data is used. During the final scoring process participants have to present their entries in Hamburg. Judges must have the opportunity to examine an entry physically at this stage. Entries that do not include a product, such as conceptual innovations, are excluded from this restriction. Entries that do not include a product, such as conceptual innovations, are excluded from this restriction. The same applies to the finalist who entered a product which is to complex as an exhibit in the seminar room as e.g. a complete cabin.

Overall Score

After all judges have finished the second scoring process, the points given by each judge for each entry will be added together. Those Members of the Judging Panel, who are related to an applicant, have to abstain from voting in the whole category i.e. as consultants associated or employed with the applying company or supplier or as customer of the product that has to be evaluated. Here the average value will be identified by dividing the sum of scores with the number of participating judges. An overall score is determined for each category and each entry separately.

The finalist with the highest score will be declared as winner in his category.

Ties

If two entries running for first place are in a tie, which means if the distance between the first and the second place is less than 1 point, all present Members of the Judging Panel will have to decide again in a direct selection of the winner using a 5-3 points scoring in order to finally determine the winner.
